These are lovely carved crystal roses. Rhodonite, fluorite, labradorite and Tiger Eye. They are beautifully carved. A softer stone, Fluorite is a real showstopper thanks to its ability to grow in a dazzling array of shades and patterns. One glance and you may be smitten, but it's also a stone that seems to change every time you look at it. Fluorite is still something of a mystery which is why it's so revered. It seems to connect with the human body and energy fields in a truly beautiful way, gifting the wearer a sense of spirited joy, soft calm, deeper sleep, and a whole host of other physical, emotional, and metaphysical benefits too. Labradorite is most commonly known for its brilliant flashes of color called labradoressence caused by lamellar twinning inside the crystal. These twin lamellae structures are compatible at high temperatures, but not at low temperatures, resulting in separation and layering as the gemstone is formed. The extra colors you see in labradorite are caused by refracted light traveling at different speeds through the layers and coming out as a different wave length. A rare variety of labradorite--called spectrolite--displays a richer, fuller spectrum of colors than most. Rhodonite is a manganese metasilicate mineral that was first discovered in 1819 by C.F. Jasche. The crystal was named from the Greek word meaning “a rose”, due to it’s pink to rose red color. Rhodonite can also be found in brownish-red and black varieties with pink inclusions within. It was originally only found in the Ural Mountains in Russia, but can now be found in India, Mexico, Sweden, Madagascar, Brazil, and USA. Tigers Eye is a member of the Chalcedony mineral class family. It has a silky luster and an opaque transparency. Tiger’s Eye is commonly a metamorphic rock that comes in shades of reddish brown with iron stripes. The meaning of Tigers Eye is self-confidence and inner strength.
